Help me to design Violet & Ted's Vegetable Patch!

I thought you guys might be able to help me out a little bit! I am currently designing a little vegetable patch to feature in Violet & Ted's lovely garden. So far, they have only got their tomatoes planted, and I thought you might be able to suggest what else they should be growing. I don't mind if it's a fruit or vegetable really, I just want a varied selection! A lot of growing vegetables are just very green and leafy, so can you think of any interesting-looking ones? I'd really appreciate your thoughts. Thank you!

  1. Oh no! I don't think my first comment sent. :( Berries such as Raspberries, Blackberries, Gooseberries have sweet flowers. Perhaps they could grow some purple sprouting Broccoli or even purple Tomatoes? Jamie Oliver loves different coloured veg. :)

    1. Eek, no it didn't but I noticed Blogger being a bit weird the other day! Aaw, thank you for all of your suggestions Tara, I definitely think I'll have to add some pretty berries now. I think the flowers are even safe for rabbits to eat! xxx

    1. I've added a few carrots, but I love your other suggestions! I've ran out of room in the patch so I'll save them for Autumn I think! Thank you Juliet :) xxx

  5. What about strawberries? Such colour would be a really good match with the background. Besides, it would make the garden looks so cute <3
