Folklore stories tell of a giant, coal-black dog which roams throughout the wilds. In certain stories the dog is a malevolent apparition, a portent of death, in others though, the dog is said to behave benevolently.
This illustration is based on the French silent film also known as 'A Trip to the Moon'. But if you're anything like me, then the imagery will be recognisable from The Smashing Pumpkin's song/video 'Tonight, Tonight' which is one of my favourite music videos of all time! Here is last week's Colour Collective piece. The chosen colour was 'Dandelion' which is the bright yellow shade. I actually found it a little tricky to work with but there will always be weeks like that! Some people said that the bees reminded them of Spring, which was fairly unintentional on my part, but I suppose they do!
