Folk Tale Week 2019

If you follow me over on Instagram you might have seen these Folk Tale Week illustrations already! I decided to take part in this challenge as I thought it would be a good chance to discover some new artists and folk stories - and I definitely did! 

I loved creating an illustration for each prompt, and it pushed me to try some new things and try to build a little collection which worked cohesively. 

The prompts were:

2. Secret

3. Path

4. Smoke

5. Darkness

6. Key

7. Crown

Hopefully I will be able to take part next year too!

Floral Familiar

I forgot to post this Colour Collective illustration from the other week! The chosen colour was Scheveningen Orange and I managed to include a little hint on some of the dainty flowers.

I couldn't decide which version I preferred, but the darker background seemed more popular on Twitter.

Birchbox UK

I'm super excited to finally be able to share this news! 

Some months ago I was asked to design a pattern for October's Birchbox UK with a brief centred around the theme 'Reach for the Stars'. This was the perfect commission for me as I love anything galaxy-related and I knew I would adore working on it.

I love how the box has turned out and I hope you do too!
