Dolled Up!

A short while ago, Christina who runs the blog Kimi and Me got in touch asking if I'd like to work on a collaborative blog post! I've been a fan of Christina's blog for awhile now, so of course I said I'd love to. I can't take much credit for the idea at all, but basically we've both put together a little collage/paper doll of our ideal summer holiday outfits. I know it's almost September but we thought that lots of people like to go abroad during this time, and anyway, I'm still hoping that we might have a few hot days here in the UK!

Here is my paper doll! I've never, ever created one before so I hope it works. My printer doesn't particularly work very well (and it's ran out of ink!) so I couldn't test it beforehand.

Please let me know if you decide to print this out! I think it would probably work best on thin card, but you could use normal paper and then maybe just use some blu-tack to hold the clothing onto the doll.

Please head on over to Christina's blog to check out her lovely summer collage!

Drogo's Go-Go's

Here is my latest GoT/ASOIAF poster! I think I like this one the most. I got the 'Drogo's Go-Go's' idea from Tara & Jade, the lovely girls who run The Style Rawr (thank you both for being so imaginative!). I also added some of the baby dragons I created for a previous illustration.

Look at Drogo's angry face!

Zelda!

It never struck me until recently, but I really love pixel art! I saw a bunch of awesome illustrations on a Redbubble store a little while ago (here) and got inspired to try some for myself. I'm not brilliant at it, which is why I made two versions of this illustration (at least one might be decent!). I think I might have drawn a bit of an evil version of Zelda too, she looks like she's smirking/up to no good but trying to cover up her misdeeds with cuteness! And on the first illustration, it sort of looks like she's coming out of the game world - I just don't trust her!

Little Bird's

Next up in my GoT/ASOIAF series is this vintage-y poster based on Sansa Stark aka Little Bird! Sansa has a serious thing for lemon cakes, so I decided that she'd have a little business selling cakes in The Vale. I wanted to make this poster slightly more colourful than my previous Jon Snow poster, as that one was definitely muted and more washed out, I guess. I also tried to limit myself to just using a few colours and I think it worked pretty well! That can often be the hardest part, just deciding on the colour palette - it seems like it should be so simple!

My next poster will feature Khal Drogo, so one for Tara & Jade I think.

Etsy Finds: August

1/2/3
4/5/6
7/8/9

Another round up of cute things I've spotted on Etsy this month!

I particularly love the bunny wall decal - what an awesome idea! You can peel these stickers off and reuse them, without them damaging your walls. There are loads of other designs to choose from too! I guess they are primarily aimed at children, but I'd definitely be happy to decorate my room with them.

I also really adore the cute fox face brooch. I think it's so detailed and the colours are beautiful! This is probably more of a springtime accessory, but look at it's little face aha.

I hope you like my picks, which are your favourites?
